All of the LaTeXing I've done thus far has been sans graphics. I've been lucky that way, I guess. However, I am afraid that at some point an author will ask me to insert a graphic and/or create one myself. Okay, I have found TeXworks. I copied and pasted a .tex file which I created on SSHsecure. How do I 'run' it to get the messages as to whether there are errors or not?

You're going to have to get real basic with me on this. I'm new to TeXworks.
