Some things happen because they are supposed to happen. In your case, somebody went into the trouble of making sure, that no tables or figures from the appendix are created in the main list.

You can of course change stuff back, but i am not sure, why using a template then? My confusion is not ...

I suppose the reason why it can't be accessed anymore is simply because that page isn't maintained anymore, as it lists students that have already graduated, but I could be wrong.
