I am a user of win7 64-bit have tried to install miktex2.9 by miktex 2.9 net - installer and download basic miktex-distribution first and then install; even though the link to distribution was like ftp://ctan.math.ca/tex-archive/systems/win32/miktex/tm/packages - to win32 (?), and couldn't find any ...
