I'm just finalizing my thesis and have a minor design question. My Bibliography is done using Jabref and then exported to lyx. However the references are sorted according to the way in which I manually inputted them in Jabref.

How can I sort the references according to the author name?

I am writing my thesis and using an Article Document Class. However at each Part the sections/subsections numbering are numbered one after each other rather than according to the Part I am working with

For example, a Section in Part 4 of the Thesis is numbered as Section 21 rather than Section ...
