Problems with Lyx 2.07/2.07,1/2.1 Beta on OS X Mavericks

I am using a late 2008 Macbook Pro with Mavericks. Lyx has been running successfully on all previous versions of OS X without any problems. 2.0.7, 2.0.7.1, 2.1 beta- all cause application to hang. Reverting to 2.0.6 solves the problem. Anybody else had this problem ?
