todonotes: Use only left or only right margin?

Is there any way to force todonotes to place comment bubbles only on the left side of the page, or only on the right side of the page? My corporate document template is two-sided, so todonotes puts the bubbles on the right margin for odd-facing pages, and the left margin for even-facing pages. I ...

Re: Translations package: Where in texfm to put trsl files

Yes. Things were good when MiKTeK worked, but I fear that the end of (good) days have arrived. I mean, one can always update the packages manually, but chances are that things will break when you have the least time.

Translations package: Where in texfm to put trsl files

My TeXLive is part of a cygwin distribution from about 2 months ago. It's a work machine, so we can't upgrade at will. I'm use to having MiKTeK do all the package maintaining for me, but it got corrupted it in the process (might be related to recent changes to the computer that are beyond my control ...

Translations package: Where in texfm to put trsl files

I am installing the translations package, as it is required by the newest acro package. Where would I put the trsl files that come with translations? I don't think it matters, but I'm using TeXLive from Cygwin. I've posted this to http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/267027/translations-package ...

Re: How to save the current colour

Thanks, Johannes. Interesting example you provided, educating me on the blindtext package.

How to save the current colour

If I want to gray out large swaths of text in a report, I know that I can use the xcolor package's \color{black!50} command:

Re: acro package files in c:\Users\Bob\AppData\{Local,Roamin

The answer is to not mess around with manual installs of packages. Use the MiKTeX package manager. It might not be aware of a package until you update the database. Also, you might not be able to select packages that you want the first time you initiate an update because the 1st 2 attempts to do an ...

Re: MiKTeX package update: Select All grayed out

In my first pass, I simply let the update finish with the packages selected by default. It seems that only obsolete packages are selected, and the purpose of the 1st update was to clear them out. In my 2nd attempt at updating, it seems that all the remaining packages were checked off for updating ...

MiKTeX package update: Select All grayed out

I installed MiKTeK 2.9.4321 in a locked down environment. I don't believe that we can directly download the entire thing from outside, and the aforementioned version is the one that we have on a CD, and it is also the one for which I got permission to install.

Since I am the sole user of the ...

Re: acro package files in c:\Users\Bob\AppData\{Local,Roamin

A colleague also advised against messing around with the MiKTeX folder trees within the AppData subtree. Instead, I synchronized with package repository from Package Manager, then acro showed up in the package list and I installed it. Unfortunately, I'm running into further complications. Other ...
