to whom i may help :

because i did not know how to edit the style file (bst) i gave up using Bibtx4word alltogether. i still use Jabref and Word but i switched to Docear4word which is heavier to run (A LOT heavier) but it uses CSL styles instead of .bst ones.

The thing is, there is an extensive ...

Include additional Option in a Style File

Please post a compilable showing what you have and describe what you want. Your chances of getting an answer will increase significantly if people see code they can use.

Regards

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. I don't code anything.. I don't use LatEX, I only use Jabref with Bibtex4word (which ...

Include additional Option in a Style File

Hello there,

I'm using Bibtex4Word with apalike-fr.bst in Word. All is fine, except that there is no longnamefirst option. I need this option. :?

So, can I somehow modify the "apalike-fr.bst" file so that it would cite all authors on first citation (like the longnamefirst option does)? And how ...

Problem with APA style in Bibtex4word

in case you run into more problems with bibtex4word you might also want to try our add-on for word docear4word
http://www.docear.org/software/add-ons/docear4word/overview/

it's much easier to use than bibtex4word and uses the citation style language which enables the easy installation (and ...

Re: Problem with APA style in Bibtex4word

Hi

I found a solution for my remaining problem : the style called apalike-fr (http://www.lsv.ens-cachan.fr/~markey/BibTeX/bst/apalike-fr.bst)

At first I had some troubles installing it because it is not listed under the Miktek Package installer. If this can help anyone, I had to 1) place apalike ...

Re: Problem with APA style in Bibtex4word

My G.. am I stupid. It was the "all" box in the "hidden text" options in Word. Hurray !

So now I have only one question left :
To get it to work I had to use apalike instead of mslapa (citation in the text did not look right with mslapa). apalike does not seem to understand the "&" flags (eg 0& to ...

Problem with APA style in Bibtex4word

Sorry I got my first mistake which was the space between the name of the style and the flags. So now citations are correct in the text but they are still weird in the reference list.

I am now getting

James et al., 1982James, T., Woodson, R., Greenberg, R., Cohen, D., et al. (1982). Bibtex is ...

Problem with APA style in Bibtex4word

Hi there,

I am using

Word + Bibtex4word as editor, and Jabref as reference manager.
I installed natbib, apacite, mslapa.

I have a problem with using apacite/mslapa. I have to use one of those styles because they are the only ones doing something close to APA6 which i have to use. But they don't ...

Database Import from EndNote into JabRef

hi

Sorry to bother you. I just started using LaTeX and as I understand it, if I want to be able to use references from my EndNote library I have to use BibTeX and/or JabRef (not exactly sure what BibTeX is, software or format, but well).

I tried exporting my EndNote references and obtained a ...
