Display Appendix Heading in Middle of the Page

Hi,

I created appendix for my thesis which have three chapters. The output displays "Appendix A" and chapter name in the next line at the top of the page. I want to display "Appendix A" followed by "Chapter Heading" in the middle of the page. I used \vfill which is displaying the "Chapter Heading ...
