Fantastic thanks Stefan_k. I'll try that in the morning, I had assumed that the file referenced had to be a standalone file and include the \end{document} comand to compile in its own right. I'm sure that win a bit of help from the forum I'll get the hang of it.....Cheers

As an enthusiastic newbie to LaTeX, I'm struggling to understand why my MiKTeX and TexMaker setup is ignoring any further code in a document after successfully inserting text from another source file using the \input command. Any ideas would be most welcome.
