space around equations

Hi,

I have a problem in spacing equations. I use the commands \[X]displayskip family.
Normal equations of type \begin{equation} \end{equation} are correctly spaced.

But inside

\newtheorem{Theorem}{Theorem}[section]
%[...]
\begin{theorem}
some-text
\begin{equation}
0 = 0
\end{equation ...

Too much Space around Equations

I still have a problem with central equation in \newtheorem environment. The previous commands do not affect the spacing in \newtheorem.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

Too much Space around Equations

Hi,

is there a way to diminish the spacing around equation environments?

I use the command \linespread{1.6} and there is the side effect of having extra space around central equations.

empty line behaviour

Hi,

There is a feature which I don't like too much in latex syntax and I wonder if there is a way to work round.

Normally pdflatex compiler interpret a double newline as a way to separate two paragraphs.
