If you don't really need the mechanism of creating the puzzle, you could draw it yourself by the pgf/ti k Z package.
Yes, I know about this package. But I need to easily print empty puzzle and then same but filled (sorry for my pure English). It's very easy with cwpuzzle. With PGF/TikZ I'll need ...
