Hi, I am trying to create a 2x2 array of figures as a single figure in LaTeX. I'd like to have a single caption at the bottom but would like each of the figures in the 2x2 array to have the labels (a), (b), (c), and (d).
This should be easy by following the steps like in the example shown here ...

Best way to refer to equation in another .tex file
Hi, I have two files, one main article .tex file and another supplementary material .tex file. In the main file I have some equations defined with \label associated with them. I'd like to be able to use \ref{eq:whatever} in my supplementary material *.tex file.
Is this possible? If not, is there an ...

Referencing the number of a reference in the paper
This is a really basic question, and I'm embarrassed to say that I've been using LaTeX for 3 years without knowing it  But better late than never.
Let's say I have a section in my paper like:
"The experimental data of Ref. 11 shows...."
How do I do this properly in LateX?

Table with multi-column footnotes
Hi, I have a table with lots of footnotes and they are just stacking up in one column (I'm currently using the tabular environment with threeparttable). Is there a way to make the footnotes multicolumn with threeparttable or do I need to do something else?
Thanks in advance!

Perhaps I should have been more specific. I know in which line it occurs, but I'm guessing I can't tell where in the line the corrections have been made?

Re: Table generating an error, please help!
Omg thanks so much! I should have known to do that due to the subscript but just wasn't thinking I guess. I'd make you coauthor of the paper I'm about to submit but if I did I think my advisor would be pissed

Does latex create a human-readable file with corrections?
So you know how when you get an error message in the compilation of a latex document, like the following:
l.74 & \multicolumn{2}{c}{E_i \; \text{(eV)}}
& \multicolumn{2}{c}{E_d \; \t...
I've inserted a begin-math/end-math symbol since I think
you left one out. Proceed, with fingers crossed ...
