it was mentioned recently by Stephan_K (http://www.latex-community.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2363&p=9252) that Springer Verlag's svmono document class doesn't respect tocdepth.
Unfortunetely, that is true. As a result, I can not include subparagraphs in TOC (which include only chapters ...
