i am also getting the 'unknown miktex exception' error when I try to load packages. Trying to update I get the following error message:

Spacing at the bottom of the initial Chapter page

Hello!
I'm struggling to get rid of extra space at the bottom of my initial chapter page. I want similar formatting on chapter pages and have managed it for the rest of the document just not this page.. Any hints would be greatly appreciated!
My frontmatter (briefly) is as follows:

Try fancyhdr and check out the manual for how to use it.

Minimalist I know but I hope it helps :)
