Here is the error that I get when I try to change repository: "Host not found" ..."get host by name failed in tcp_connect()".
If I try to download the package, I get: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." ... Then "connect failed in tcp_connect()"

I uninstalled Miktex 2.6, and installed the basic package for MikTex 2.7, and I got the same problem. The problem remains that when I try to install any package through the Package Manager, I get the error that could not identify the host. How does the host get specified, and what host ...

Thanks for your reply. I am using MikTex. I tried to use Miktex package manager to install subfigure, but it gave me an error "Host not found", and could not download the package.

Help with subfigure
I am a new Tex user. I am using Winedt. I am trying to put two figures side by side. Several sites suggests using subifgure or subfig package. But I could not figure out how to get "subfigure or subfig package" installed and working. Any help would be appreciated.
