In my opinion, it would be great to have both hard wrap and soft wrap and the possibility to setup this.

I have one more related suggestion - sometimes you have a hard-wrapped text, i.e. copied from another editor, and you would like to re-format it and soft-wrap it, i.e. remove end-of-line ...
