Modifying Table Title Caption alignment & look

Hello,

I have tables and I don't like that the titles: \caption{title} is centered and extends beyond the table horizontal width. I would like my title to start on the left side and go only the table width, then continue on second line if needed, etc:

Table 1. The table titles should

Re: Installation

here are some things to also consider:
The order in which you install these programs does matter. TeXnicCenter should be installed after MikteX. Make sure you have all the integrated programs MikTex, LATEX, GS, TexnicCenter) you need in a similar directory so they can find and communicate with each ...

Re: Opening last session at startup does not work for me

If you have Vista, then the problem might be where you have located all your integrated programs (LateX, MikteX, and GS, etc...). These all need to be installed in a user profile section - not in the C:\ the program file section. This is a very complicated problem to FIND because of how Vista has ...

Re: "latex => PDF" doesn't create any PDF file!

Perhaps you could check to see if the viewer pathway is also correct. Go to the output profile, click on the Latex -->PDF and also the viewer tab. It will show the pathway to the viewer - this might be incorrect or needing to be updated. I experienced the same problem until I also reconciled the ...

Re: old tex file won't update via save/new files won't compile

I have more information to provide re: my problem with editing and saving an older tex file (see Sunday thread). I see that when I open the files via TexnicCenter, I visually see and can pull up the new files I've made (but none have built auxiliary files). However, when I go to the same exact ...

old tex file won't update via save/new files won't compile

Hello,

I have a tex file that is complete and I am able to view it as a pdf, Latex -> ps -> pdf, or dvi. I have recently tried to edit this file and I obtain a message that says: "Cannot create a file when that file already exists". I looked in previous threads and people have mentioned that this ...

How to change PDF viewer?

Hello,
I use TexnicCenter 1.75 (the new version that just came out in June) and accidentally chose Adobe 8.0 pro instead of Adobe Reader 9.0 as the pdf viewer during the config stage with MikteX. I do not own Adobe 8.0 pro - it is just trial software on this laptop.

How do I change my PDF viewer ...
