BibLaTeX: force "idem" for 1st citations

Hello, I use a phylosophy.verbose stye, a new style for BibLaTeX versy similar (but better) to the verbose-trad ones.
I have a lot of 1st citations of the same author one after the other, and I want BibLaTeX to output:
Name, Title1, pubsityyear, and Idem, Title2, pubcityear.
Any ideas on how to ...

modify text used in cross-referencing

Hello,
I use a lot of cross-referencing but I don't like italian standard referencing
(for instance: <reference> on page <page>)
I want to change the whole "a pagina" (on page) with "a p." (on p.) and the same with variants like "opposite" which are very bad chosen.
Where I can find this?
Thanks ...

Re: Could you...

Thanks!
It looks great. Size is not importana, if I can just import the pdf in my page and cut & resize it.
Are there some variants with more glyphs?
Anyway this one is great.
Thanks again
Piero

Could you...

Hello!

Could some of you please help me with 2 minutes of your time?
I need to put a dedication in my dissertation. It's for my daughter, her name's Xana.
I don't know how to install XeTeX and its fonts, but I would like to have the dedication typesetted with the Zapfino font. The text would just ...

Few questions from a newbie

1 - Should I do that even when I could install it through MiKTeX?
2 To be sure, is the local texmf folder a way to store my personal packages so that I don't lose them in case I change/uninstall LyX?
3 - Should I rely on MiKTeX to find out unambiguously which packages I already have?
4 Even though ...

Can't have CrossRef working in BibLaTeX

Solved: Just had to put collection after incollection in bib file

Hello,
I can't understand why I can't have my CrossRefs properly work: BibLaTeX will always print only the fields of the incollections which are properly filled up.
I use LyX, so I would submit just a minimal example exported in a ...

(2) install Lyx from the SEP 04 2009 installer.

And LaTeX? What about LaTeX? Maybe you should download the installer-BUNDLE, which contains ALMOST everything you need to run LyX.
Otherwise you have to install LaTeX separately. Did you install it?

Anyway, you're right that some of the templates ...

Some basic BibLaTeX formatting?

I'm using the verbose-trad2 style.
I think I don't need to create a new style, at leaste for request 2 and 3: for example, I found how to set all author names in smallcaps:

\renewcommand*{\mkbibnamelast}[1]{\textsc{#1}}
\renewcommand*{\mkbibnamefirst}[1]{\textsc{#1}}

and a similar tweak for ...

bibstyles and reference alignment

Biblatex is still in beta, so I can't use that either because I use MikTeX (or is there a way?)

I'ma a happy BibLATeX user. I also use MikTeX in WinXP and I also made BibLaTeX perfectly work with LyX 1.6.2, so I doubt it could any problem with you.
It seems to me the beta status of BibLaTeX is ...

Some basic BibLaTeX formatting?

Hello,
I use BibLaTeX package and I'm the happier person in the world.
I use the verbose-trad. style in italian, and I would like to hack the way it represent bibliography references (as well as 1st appearance of citation)

1. 1st of all, I would love to substitute each "block" separator from a full ...
