Re: url package doesn't like tildes and underscores?
Thanks so much...worked great...I had been avoiding hyperref because it has so many options to confuse me, but it's not so hard after all.

url package doesn't like tildes and underscores?
I'm trying to use web links in a document I'm prepping for an IEEE journal. The URLs show up ok in the PDF output with PDFLaTeX, but the links don't work. Here's a test file to demonstrate. testurl2.pdf (attached) is what I get.
\documentclass{IEEEtran}
\usepackage{url}
\begin{document}
\url{http ...
\documentclass{IEEEtran}
\usepackage{url}
\begin{document}

Re: LeD crashing?
Thanks, Stefan!
I did switch to TeXnicCenter, and recently re-imaged my pc, so I don't have LeD installed right now, and the log file was written over by a successful run using TeXnicCenter...sorry I can't give you more info...

Re: how to compile the .bib file
Once you have compiled the .tex file using LaTeX or PDFLaTeX, you must run BibTeX on it, and the run LaTeX/PDFLaTeX twice more. That should do the trick.

LeD crashing?
Weird stuff...I've been using this app for over a year with above average satisfaction, but the other day, as I was putting together a sample template for my students, the editor kept crashing on me. I tried upgrading LEd, and even did a clean uninstall of both LEd and MikTeX 2.5 (I know it's an old ...

Hope that helps!

Re: The future of TeXnicCenter
As an end user who just switched over to TeXnicCenter from LEd (due to unexplained crashes), I do hope that some continued development of TeXnicCenter will take place. You've got a great start on a very useful app, and I'd hate to see the progress end. Even if you do have to start from scratch to ...
