Referencing not working - probably very easy but I'm lost Topic is solved

Hi Tim, great that it works now! For transferring LaTeX documents, I would just copy the whole document folder with subdirectories. Editor settings are not important and unrelated to the content, even MiKTeX settings should not be needed when transferring. The other computer may have another MiKTeX ...

Blurry text in PDF with TeXworks Topic is solved

Not sure if uninstalling LibreOffice could help. My first try would be to re-install TeXworks.

How is it without lmodern?

That's Latin Modern and may come with LibreOffice too, so possibly affected. The default is Computer Modern (very similar). Can you try without lmodern?

LYX crash - SIGFPE signal caught

Welcome to the forum!

SIGFPE refers to a floating-point exception, so an arithmetic error. No clue yet why it happens in the moment of saving though.

Do you use the latest version 2.3.2, or still 2.3.0 or 2.3.1? You could upgrade. Some bugs related to crashes have been fixed in 2.3.2.

Blurry text in PDF with TeXworks Topic is solved

Welcome to the forum! As you guessed, LibreOffice might be a possible reason since it installs and configures fonts. Looks like a font issue, for example wenn a scalable (Type 1) font cannot be displayed, so instead of that vector font a bitmap font is used, that can look pixelated and blurry. Perha...

Referencing not working - probably very easy but I'm lost Topic is solved

Hi Tim,

this test1 still cannot work since the reference file is still called references.tex and not references.bib. Please rename it, as LaTeX searches for references.bib.

That means, please show what you tried and doesn't work. And we would perfectly know what happens when you also post the .log file, as attachment here. The Attachments link is below the text edit field, when writing a post.
