configuration Topic is solved

This path was a sample, but it depends on your specific installation.

Is MiKTeX in "Program Files (x86)" oder in "Program Files"? C: oder D:? Only you can see. Important is, to locate and to use it, and to have \bin\ at the end.

Appendix - section numbering

Welcome to the forum! The problem is right here: \chapter{Procedures} \subsection{Chemical Composition of Raw Materials} You don't have a section in this chapter, before you start a subsection. So the section number stays 0. Just write \section{Chemical Composition of Raw Materials} or insert anothe...

How to bold the Table of Contents (PDF screen shot attached)

I made my peace with the existence of templates. Somehow users needs to start, also those users who want to focus on writing instead of learning some dozen packages to use them or not. Still there are too many bad templates out in the world. I remember also good templates, with folder structure, whe...

How to bold the Table of Contents (PDF screen shot attached)

Over many years, there appeared several different classes thesis.cls . That's because on different universities people developed kind of templates and classes for the students theses, and called it the same way, that's a bit careless. So we cannot know which thesis class or template you are using. I...

Tikz PDCA cycle with only 3 arcarrow

You can introduce another option for the color, and choose the start and end angle so it's a foot fit. \documentclass[tikz,border=10pt,svgnames]{standalone} \usetikzlibrary{decorations.text} \definecolor{mygray}{RGB}{208,208,208} \definecolor{mymagenta}{RGB}{226,0,116} \newcommand*{\mytextstyle}{\sf...

Compiling a list of exercise

I think you could use the xsim package for this list. The manual ( xsim pdf) explains how to use it. It can be set up to print only exercises, only solutions, or both. Commands control how its done. The manual means some reading, but the interface needs to be explained and it's bot good to have many...

Drawinn Tikz mindmap and changin shapes

Another example: \documentclass[border = 10pt]{standalone} \usepackage{tikz} \usetikzlibrary{positioning} \begin{document} \begin{tikzpicture}[ basenode/.style = { color = white, fill = blue!70, draw, font = \sffamily}, rootnode/.style = { basenode, circle, minimum width = 2cm}, childnode/.style = {...

Enter the path like you see it, such as:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex\bin\

Just that path, not a file in the directory.

Page numbering starts on page 5 - with number 5 Topic is solved

I guess the template is from http://tubslatex.ejoerns.de. This could have been mentioned.

I just don't have the time to install it myself right now. I can imagine that this could help:

\renewcommand*{\chapterpagestyle}{scrheadings}

header style

Hi Georg, it would just be good to see the code you have until now. The code you would like to change, and what different scrlayer-scrpage or \automark styles you would like to combine. I often come in to the forum just for a few minutes. If I see code, I can test it, help to improve or to fix it. W...
