Figures appearing only as boxes , No figure displayed

Welcome to the forum! It seems that you used the draft option. It is not visible in the code part you posted, but that's incomplete anyway. Is this your full preamble? Look for the draft option to the class, or to the graphicx package. This option doesn't include images (for speed or saving ink) but...

Strangely looking trigonometric function plots? Topic is solved

Yes, that's perfect. Clicking the checkmark at that post that was the solution, marks the whole topic as solved (so supporters see it) and makes that solution the hyperlink when one clicks the checkmark at the top, so google searchers can jump to the solution.

Strangely looking trigonometric function plots? Topic is solved

Try this, notice the xticks settings: \documentclass[a4paper]{article} \usepackage{pgfplots} \pgfplotsset{compat=1.14} \pgfmathsetmacro{\PI}{pi} \begin{document} \begin{tikzpicture} \begin{axis}[ width = \axisdefaultwidth, height = 0.3\textheight, xlabel = $x$, ylabel = $\rho(x)$, title = {P...

scrbook: How to avoid empty pages at the beginning?

Welcome to the forum! There is no empty page at the beginning. See: \documentclass{scrbook} \begin{document} Text \end{document} Click on "Open in Overleaf" to see the output in the online LaTeX editor. Perhaps post your code here, so we can find out how it is causing empty pages. Stefan

Strangely looking trigonometric function plots? Topic is solved

By the way, math operators are commonly written upright, not italic, there are macros for it:

  1. node [pos = 0.3, above right] {$\cos(x)$};
  2. node [pos = 0.9, above left] {$\sin(x)$};

Perhaps remove the factor pi in the argument: \addplot [color = red, domain = 0 : 10, smooth] plot {cos(deg(x))} node [pos = 0.3, above right] {$cos(x)$}; \addplot [color = blue, domain = 0 : 10, smooth] plot {sin(deg(x))} node [pos = 0.9, above left] {$sin...

list of figures Topic is solved

That content is LaTeX, so you can run LaTeX on it.

  1. \documentclass{article}
  2. \usepackage[english]{babel}
  3. \let\addvspace\vspace
  4. \begin{document}
  5. \makeatletter
  6. \input{yourfilename.lof}
  7. \end{document}

ntheorem and the list of theorems

Hi deimi, welcome to the forum! Indeed, ntheorem doesn't load hyperref implicitly even though the option hyperref was used. Very good catch! I didn't notice that. Indeed it then compiles fine. Instead of just outputting \listtheoremname , using a \section command would be good, to have a proper head...

Float text and front/color Topic is solved

It seems to depend on the font.

When I add

  1. \usepackage{lmodern}

I can use 80 and 90 and more and it gets bigger.
