Re: Getting more in one page... how?? Margins? Font size?
One more comment: I saw that I have a dot at the end of _SOME_ tex entries but not at the end of all of them. I could change it manually, but it is over 350 entries... :/

Getting more in one page... how?? Margins? Font size?
Hi,
I am writing my PhD thesis and need to hand it in tomorrow evening!
In the last minute I found two problems (using TexnicCenter & JabRef & MikTex).
First the easy one: the bibliographical references appear slightly wrong, after the title of the publications there is a dot AND a comma. E.g. G ...

Re: How to solve invisible error?
Hi,
Stefan_K: you were right, \dcapprovalbaffil was not properly defined! Sorry, I did not manage to get this info out of the error message, which was a bit cryptic.
Thank you both in any case, now my thesis is error-free again!

How to solve invisible error?
Hi,
Sorry for the strange subject.
I am writing my PhD thesis with TexnicCenter. Everything was going fine, but since a few days I get a build error at a line which is completely empty!!! I have no idea why this might happen.
I attach an image of the error, which indicates an "Undefined control ...

Re: Add newpage at end of section automatically
Hi Stefan,
Thanks.
I tried, it works. BUT, the first section of each chapter is also starting on a new page, in a different page than the chapter's title. And I don't want that...
Any clue how to avoid it? Maybe by putting the new page command at the end of each section? But I don't see how to do ...

Add newpage at end of section automatically
Is there some easy way to make each section (not only chapter) start in a new page? How can this be achieved other than adding "\newpage" manually at the end of each section?
I have too many sections... too lazy :) and also I want to try \newpage, \clearpage, etc and compare what I prefer. so that ...

Strange empty spaces after paragraphs, figures, etc
Normally the default \flushbottom plus some manual tweaking works best.
With flushbottom, without additional manual tweaking, it brings me back to the original image I uploaded. I have to say that I prefer the \raggedbottom result rather than the flash one.
Manual tweaking helps for sure, but I ...

Re: Strange empty spaces after paragraphs, figures, etc
Hi again,
Thank you for the answers.
localghost: maybe I explained the problem wrong. The problem is not in one single page, it happens several times all along the 130 pages of the document! The image I uploaded was just one extreme example.
I added the \raggedbottom, the output is different (see ...

Strange empty spaces after paragraphs, figures, etc
Hi,
I am writing my PhD, learning Latex at the same time, and after 130 pages feeling already like a medium-level user :)
Still, there is something which drives me crazy, and I have no idea why this happens. The spacing (vertical blank space before start of text) is not constant throughout the ...
