Including Graphic causes Error

I am having an error when I try and include a graphic but this error only occurs when I try and input the command directly using ctrl.
This has been annoying me because there are some settings my professor wants me to put on my paper but I can't get it to work.

Thanks a lot, i used the insert graphics and it worked perfectly.
Out of curiosity, when i tried Insert>Float>Firgure i got two red boxes. What would i type in the red boxes to insert the pdfs?

Here is an example from my last homework of my original question. I scaled the first pdf and left the other at 100%.

I inserted the pdfs by
insert>file>externalmaterial... and then selecting the pdf template

I am a math graduate student and personally i use lyx because it is fast. It is a great tool for me to write rough drafts or take notes in class. I do not have to think or worry about any coding mistakes. Also, if you have basic knowledge of the program you will almost never have to use your mouse ...

Scaling PDF in lyx pagebreaks

I am having touble with scaling my pdf files in my lyx documents. I am currently able to scale my pdf by clicking on the pdf (after importing it) going to the size and rotation tab and scaling the image to what ever size i choose. My problem is that no matter what size i choose to scale the pdf ...
