Re: Czech in TeXnicCenter

I have no problem with changing the encoding in TXC. I just choose »Save as« from the »File« menu and change the encoding in the dialog window. Hmm, I have already filled a bug report against this, since in Save As dialog I don't see options for changing encoding. I'm using Win32 XP SP3. The bug is...

Re: Czech in TeXnicCenter

I think that when you create new document, TXC2 Alpha automatically sets it to ANSI encoding, and you can't change it to UTF8 inside TXC. This is what I do: 1) Make new document in TXC 2) Open that document in some other text editor, which has good support for encodings. Personally I use Geany (http...

Re: TeXnicCenter 2.0 Alpha 1 - Issues

Please fill a report containing the exact steps that allow to reproduce your problem. ... The encoding of the .dic file must match the one indicated in the corresponding .aff file, e.g. SET CP1250 or SET UTF-8. Most European dictionaries use ISO 8859 though. Thanks for the answer. I didn't know abo...

Re: TeXnicCenter 2.0 Alpha 1 - Issues

There seams to be a problem with the autocompletion. I believe it is connected to the encoding. Autocompletion doesn't work if the line, in which you request it (by pressing CTRL + SPACE), consists of non ASCII characters. The problem appears in a document encoded in UTF-8 when using some "Cent...

TXC2.0 Alpha - Encoding

I've just tried the new version of TXC and was really happy to see that Scintilla text editor is used, since I prefer to have my documents in UTF-8 encoding. However, I don't seam to see how to set up encoding. I haven't found any setting in Tools->Options->Editor, and in notification area I see ANS...

Re: how to add new fonts to Texniccenter ?

This list contains system-wide fonts, i.e. fonts which are installed on the system. Hence, if you want to use some other font you have to install it in a usual way: 1) START -> Control Panel -> Fonts 2) File -> Install new font However, you have to be aware that the current version of TXC is limited...

Re: how to add new fonts to Texniccenter ?

Go to:

1) Tools -> Options -> Text Format
2) In the drop-down box select Editor (it is selected by default)
3) Choose an appropriate font from the list

You can do the same for the Navigator and Output (warnings, errors, etc.)

Re: Add self-defined commands to the auto-complete list

@Hans Nieuwenhuis Yes, I agree with this. These files should maybe rather somewhere to "Documents and Settings" folder. However, for now I always make a backup of these files on installation directory, and when I install new version I simply copy those files from backup. It works ok. @dba ...
