Why do my PDFs look better with Skim or Acrobat Reader ?

Post by NazTeX »

I find that the PDFs I generate with TeXShop look better on screen when I open them in Skim and much better in Acrobat Reader. Letters and contrasts are crisper and generally nicer to read. I am using plain Article.cls, no fancy fonts. Can I improve the quality of PDF screen rendering in TeXShop?
Thanks !

Hi and welcome, every pdf reader shows the same pdf a bit different. Ever missed a line at the current zoom, but zooming in, it was there?

That's just how it is, dependent of the current view, resolution of the display etc.

I cannot give you any good advice, but to try a bit around. :|
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
