Program icon does not appear (Windows)

Hi, I have downloaded the most recent version of LyX: LyX 2.3.7 (2023-01-01), CMake Build.

The program runs, but the program icon for the file extension does not appear in Windows Explorer. LyX is set as default program for .lyx extensions.

How do I make Explorer to show the program icon of LyX for the .lyx extensions?

LyX: LyX 2.3.7 (2023-01-01), CMake Build
System: Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2

No idea, I have exactly the same issue. A long time ago, I didn't have this problem, if I remember correctly...

.. but when I go to "properties", the icon DOES show, see screenshot below:

Even a simple right-click in file explorer, shows the icon, inviting me to "open" the file with LyX. Strange...

Correct. In previous installations of LyX, the icon showed correctly in Explorer, which is very useful to identify the file. It is with a new installation, in a different computer, that it happened. I would like to fix it.

This problem is a known bug and has been fixed in the upcoming versions of LyX 2.3.8 and 2.4.0. So, it is a matter of waiting for the update.
