Academic Title Page: minipage

Postby EstherN » Tue Nov 14, 2017 5:11 pm

If I use the script below, the line 'author' and the line 'supervisor' are not at the same height on the page. How can I fix this?

  1. \begin{titlepage} % Suppresses displaying the page number on the title page and the subsequent page counts as page 1
  2. \newcommand{\HRule}{\rule{\linewidth}{0.5mm}} % Defines a new command for horizontal lines, change thickness here
  3.
  4. \center % Centre everything on the page

Hi Esther,

welcome to the forum!

To get the minipages top-aligned, simply add the [t] option for top alignment:

\begin{minipage}[t]{0.4\textwidth}

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for the answer. I already tried to add a [t], but i forgot to add this in both minipage lines. :idea:

Esther
