How to remove Dots after figure and table numbers?

Postby alsanadm » Thu Dec 14, 2017 3:11 pm

Hi there,

I have this issue:
I need to remove dots which come after the figures and tables numbers in the list of figures as well in the list of
tables?

For example, I want Figure 1.1: to be Figure 1.1
Table 2.2: to be Table 2.2

Is there any idea?
Thanks

It's easy but depends on the document class (which class do you use?) and if you use the caption package (do you?).

With the caption package for example:

  1. \usepackage{caption}
  2. \DeclareCaptionLabelSeparator{none}{ }
  3. \captionsetup{labelsep=none}

There's a blank space as separator then. Using the caption package is recommendable anyway, it allows a lot of customization (font size, bold numbers and label, layout) in an easy way via options.
