introduction and question

Postby psutton » Fri Dec 07, 2007 12:30 pm

Hi

I am new to Latex and so far think its pretty cool, I am currently running kile along with latex under Debian etch, I am trying to produce a newsletter for the Open university Devon South Branch, I have selected 2 column view which works great, as I have a block of text, then the 2 column,

Just a few questions

What is the best forum, to get help with producing basic newsletters, ? I think i have got the very basics of the language.

is it OK to paste code sections into the forum.?

Thanks for any help

Paul

You can use the forums
LaTeX->General (for general LaTeX help and discussion) or
LaTeX->Packages & Document Classes (for help and discussion about LaTeX enhanced packages and document classes)

Yes. In fact, sometimes you will be encouraged to do so. In fact, you can read this document to get used to build minimal working examples. Another useful document that will help you to improve your LaTeX code and to avoid the use of obsolete commands and packages can be found here.
