Maybe a bit off topic, but posting it here as it is a TeXLive 2017 issue.

I have mirrored the 2016 tlnet directory on to my local machine. If I update the tree in the coming days, am I correct in assuming that I will be getting 2017 release?

How can I plot ionization graphs in TikZ

To "reproduce" the graphs for which one has neither the formula nor the data, you can use a digitizer to generate the data and plot it using either gnuplot or pgfplots.

Frequently I use engauge-digitizer to get the job done. It is what I use on my Debian GNU/Linux system.
