For example:

Welcome to the forum!

Perhaps show what you tried. Besides BibTeX, you could use biblatex.

page number Topic is solved

The class file ni.cls sets the page style to "empty" when a chapter starts. You can change it this way, adding this to your preamble in thesis.tex: \usepackage{etoolbox} \makeatletter \patchcmd{\@makechapterhead}{empty}{plain}{}{} \makeatother To reset the settings that the class makes at ...

Welcome to the forum!

Indeed, for being able to help we need to see code. As minimum, the .cls file and the preamble of the .tex file with the settings.

How can I reduce my code? Topic is solved

Hi, even simpler: \foreach \i in {1,...,10} \coordinate (\Alph{\i}) at ($(O) + (\i*36:{\R})$); That of course requires a macro \Alph to turn numbers into letters. There is one internal macro, that could be used that way if you would add to the document preamble: \make...

Error after TeX Live update

Hi!

This looks like a bug. It works with my TeX Live 2017 installation. Perhaps run an update, at least update the isodate package, or compile without isodate.

Academic Title Page: minipage Topic is solved

Hi Esther,

welcome to the forum!

To get the minipages top-aligned, simply add the [t] option for top alignment:

\begin{minipage}[t]{0.4\textwidth}

Problem with large table in landscape mode Topic is solved

Well, output: I generally don't like a full grid for tables, locking all in cells. I like some supporting structure by decent horizontal lines only. I never do double lines.

Code: I would put repeated things into a macro, such as for \multicolumn{1}{>{\centering\arraybackslash}c|}{$...$}

Hi Quinoa,

welcome to the forum!

Check the output profiles in TeXnicCenter. Edit the one you are using, and insert the job name such as

A question about filling a region with colour and pattern Topic is solved

Great!

Would you like to add this as example to the TikZ gallery on TeXample.net? If yes, you could post the full code here.

What I see as a good point for learners, is filling an area made by several different curves by intersecting clipping areas.
