When will the next TeXnicCenter release 2.X go live?

Hi Alexei, welcome to the forum! Also I did not hear anything new in the recent years about TXC, and I read a lot of forums, blogs, and mailing lists. I use TeXworks since I'm satisfied with a clean GUI and quick display. As Johannes said, Texmaker and TeXstudio play in the league of TXC but are act...

VerbTeX LaTeX Editor Not Working on Android 8.0

Hi,

welcome to the forum!

I did not see that. Perhaps simply post your question on the Verbosus contact page. The programmers may be interested in knowing how their editor works on Android 8.

For any LaTeX related question, you can of cause come here again. We love good questions. ;-)

Duplex Printing with same back page on all documents

Hello Bryan!

You could create two documents, one with our content and table, and the other one with the single back page. Then a third document can be made that uses pdfpages to merge both documents page by page.

Sideways dots help

Hi Nancy,

the mathdots package provides \iddots for this.

This is how you can do it yourself:

  1. \documentclass{article}
  2. \newcommand*{\rddots}[1]{\cdot^{\cdot^{\cdot^{#1}}}}
  3. \begin{document}
  4. \[
  5. x^{x^{\rddots{x}}}
  6. \]
  7. \end{document}

Tool to make single *.bib file compatible with both BibTeX and BibLaTeX

Hi, biblatex supports the journal field too so you can stick with it. Biblatex also supports year and month like BibTeX, though it has a new date field. So for being compatible to both worlds, one should use BibTeX fields. I'm not aware of any tool that changes .bib files between the formats, but Zo...

Internal vs external macros Topic is solved

Hello Erwann! The @ is to prevent accidental use of internal macros. Thorsten gave a good summary: The \makeatletter command temporarily defines »@« as a normal character to enable changes to internal LaTeX macros outside packages (STY) or classes (CLS). With \makeatother this process is reversed an...

Recompile only works in report.tex file Topic is solved

Hi Frido, welcome to the forum! Some LaTeX editors allow setting a project main file, that will be compiled no matter in which subfile you are. I think ShareLaTeX doesn't do it. You could check out Overleaf (http://overleaf.com) or a non-cloud LaTeX editor, but that requires a LaTeX installation on ...

Strange unicode links may be a problem... You can try this:

\href{\detokenize{...}}{...}

Text in reference labels Topic is solved

With these packages, ⋅ the chemstyle package may cause a problem ⋅ reference numbering is "1" not "Figure 1" so I get with See figure \ref{test} the result "See figure 1". Perhaps post code that produces the output with the issue ( ). Stefan
