Caption Text Changing Rows

Hi Tim,

welcome to the forum!

This seems to math the parbox with 0.2 line length. Remove that \parbox and its closing brace to see the change.

0.2 of the line width doesn't fit to the table width anyway.

By the way, always use \label directly after a caption.

Getting Started

Hi Tommy! Yes, that's why I recommended to make a full installation, so MiKTeX does not need to download additional packages on the fly. It can do it though, but I'm not sure if it does it perfectly when there is an indirect dependency or a package/bundle name is different to the .sty file name. Of ...

Getting Started

Hi Tommy, maybe you already tried - it's not difficult. With TeXworks, just click "File/Open" in the menu (or "Open with..." in the explorer with TeXworks) and then you just need to choose the compiler in the list box at the top left (pdfLaTeX) and click the "play" butt...

Getting Started

Hi Tommy, welcome to the forum! First, yes, you need to install a TeX distribution, that can be either MiKTeX (Windows specific) or TeX Live via http://tug.org/texlive . I use TeX Live, since the maintainer base and support is significantly bigger. It is recommended to install a full version, that c...

How do I change Lagrande Orange to use only Unicode fonts? Topic is solved

Hi Anton, welcome to the forum! It seems you changed from the pdfLaTeX way (fontenc, specific LaTeX packages such as avant, pag font) to XeLaTeX (fontspec). That's a good choice when new fonts are needed. How about: \setmainfont{TeX Gyre Adventor} Adventor should be an Avantgarde clone, for trade ma...

dot \n, graphviz in LateX with Word-wraps | dot2tex, dot2texi, dot2texisty-master

Now after I saw and answered your new post, I see the older one. Maybe it's already clear, so just my advice: I would use TikZ features directly and natively in LaTeX instead of having headaches with external tools and languages, such as Python. TikZ can do such jobs fine, and even provides a simila...

Questions about Moderntimeline in moderncv \tldatelabelcventryn

Thank you for the link to the cross-post! That makes it easy to follow possible already existing answers, great! So, there is not really a unit. You can state a year, and then that timeline shows that year's position on the line like on a progress bar. The code calculates a fraction by (#3-\tl@f...

Hi Kent! It's probably good to update in any case. I remember you worked on an intersection topic, that also was solvable with PGF 3 aka TikZ 3. It provides a lot more features than PGF 2. Otherwise you may re-program already existing new features. You may consider to update the whole TeX installati...
