How to install PGF/TikZ3.0 in MikTex

Hi Ji,

welcome to the forum!

If your MiKTeX installation is a bit old, perhaps uninstall/delete it, and install it again (the full version).

Or consider installing the new TeX Live 2017. Perhaps take a look at that topic: suggestions about the the better TeX distribution.

Difficulties with mdframed Topic is solved

Try

\usepackage[framemethod=TikZ]{mdframed}

then round corners should work.

Moving page numbers

Hi Fab,

you can add this to your preamble in main.tex:

  1. \rohead{\mbox{\hfil{\headmark}}}
  2. \lehead{\mbox{\headmark\hfil}}
  3. \rofoot{\small\thepage}
  4. \lefoot{\small\thepage}

If it should be centered, replace the last two lines by

\cfoot{\small\thepage}

Formatting two columns "single-spaced"

Welcome to the forum!

Can you please post real code, not as an image? I cannot use an image for testing. The best would be a Infominimal working example.

Moving page numbers

Hi Fab! Chapter or section name and page number are often in the header, but the header is commonly omitted on pages that start with a chapter heading. That's because the heading with the chapter name would be redundant. In that case also the page number goes to the bottom. You could have the same s...

Graphics bib similar to Jabref? Topic is solved

Hi,

I don't know Jabref, just the common LaTeX BibTeX/biblatex ways without management. I just think that references to graphics can be handled the same way as normal citations, it doesn't matter if I refer to an article in text format or in image format.
